FAQs
There is no cell service at the Hummingbird Lodge or at Whitewater Ski Resort. There is Wi-Fi available in the Hummingbird Lodge, but the campground and hiking trails remain the perfect place to disconnect and reconnect.
The Hummingbird Lodge & Campground property will remain under construction throughout summer 2023 as we finish landscaping, which means trades will be on-site conducting required work Monday to Saturday between 7:00am and 7:00pm. We are also actively building a new chairlift at the Whitewater Ski Resort base area which means trucks, helicopters, and other heavy machinery will be in close proximity. Noise can be heard during the day, and the Silver King slope will remain closed to access this summer. Please obey all signage and stay aware when traveling around the Resort.
Showers, heated washrooms with flush toilets, dishwashing area (please bring your own supplies), food storage lockers, and potable water are all available as part of your campsite booking.
The following trails will be open for summer 2023:
• Bird Queen Trail (as an out-and-back only)
• Silver King Trail
• Summit Trail
• Glory Ridge Trail
• Trash Chutes Ridge Trail
• Blaster's Ridge Trail
• Prospector Trail
• West Ymir Trail
• Ymir Peak Trail
• Adaptive Bike Trail
The following trails will be closed due to lift development throughout summer 2023:
• White Queen Trail
• Quartz Ski Way Trail
• Silver King Ridge Trail
• Half Dome Trail
Please respect all trail closures and enjoy the trails responsibly.
Pets are not permitted inside the Hummingbird Lodge, neither the Café nor the Suite upstairs. Pets are, however, permitted on the Café patio, provided they are leashed.
In the campground, 2 pets per campsite or RV site are complimentary. More than 2 pets/site is not allowed. Please pick up all pet droppings. Small bags are provided at dispensers throughout the resort, including at the garbage stations next to Forest site 15, and RV site 5. Once used, please dispose of these as garbage, do not leave them in the brush. The site holder is responsible for the behaviour of their pets and for picking up after them. Please do not leave pets on your site unattended.
All pets are to remain on-leash at all times. The only off-leash area is Parking Lot 2.
If your pet is excessively noisy or aggressive, or if you fail to follow these rules, the pet and the owner may be asked to leave.
The Hummingbird Lodge is open daily from 10am - 5pm, along with the Café and General Store. After hours check-in is available with the Lodge Host from 5pm - 10pm.
